The Markets for Change (M4C) Project is a six-year initiative aimed at ensuring that marketplaces in rural and urban areas in Fiji, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu are safe, inclusive and non-discriminatory environments, promoting gender equality, economic empowerment and safety and security for those who trade in the markets. The project is implemented and administered by UN Women in partnership with UNDP and funded by Australian Government through DFAT.

Marketplaces offer important venues to effect social and economic changes especially for the women who are the predominant traders in the markets.

The M$C team organizes “Market Business Fair” (MBF) at selected markets in Fiji. The purpose is to bring together all financial, agricultural and social services and their service providers to provide information, create awareness and deliver services that the market vendors and farmers generally miss out on.

The Suva event was held at the Suva Municipal Market on Tuesday June 22 for 2 days. The BSP Life booth was managed by the Suva City Sales Unit and supported by our Marketing team.
