The Staff and Management of Fiji’s leading financial services provider, the BSP Group comprising BSP Bank, BSP Life and BSP Finance today handed over a $20,000 donation to WOWS Kids Fiji marking the close of their annual staff appeal.
The Staff and Management of Fiji’s leading financial services provider, the BSP Group comprising BSP Bank, BSP Life and BSP Finance today handed over a $20,000 donation to WOWS Kids Fiji marking the close of their annual staff appeal.
BSP Life Managing Director, Mr. Michael Nacola, speaking for the BSP Group, said that the donation was the culmination of a two week staff fundraising campaign which was topped up by contributions from the Group.
“These funds were raised to assist the WOWS Kids Fiji Foundation support our children who are battling cancer. Our hearts go out to them and we trust this small donation provides assistance to assist them with treatments and to enjoy a better quality of life,” he said.
This year, five staff members volunteered to be advocates for the fundraising drive. Mereseini Delai and Clement Kumar from the Bank, Susana Bose from BSP Life, Apakuki Nabanivalu and Cema Radinivuya of BSP Finance all stepped up to support the cause. Staff from the Bank, BSP Life and BSP Finance and friends of BSP also pitched in to raise funds.
“One of the BSP Group’s core values is Vanua and Community and we are proud that our staff are living our Values and making a difference in the lives of our vulnerable children. The compassion shown by the BSP Group family is appreciated demonstrating that our efforts go beyond providing financial services,” he said.
This is the fifth year of BSP’s support for WOWS, bringing the total contribution to $100,000.
“We are privileged to partner with a trusted charitable organization like WOWS. We invite other corporate organisations to support the Foundation in their work of supporting the affected children of Fiji and their families. We commend the efforts and personal sacrifices of Sina, Taholo, Viola and the team and wish you all the best,” he concluded.
The BSP Staff WOWS fundraising campaign concluded with a special shaving ceremony that was streamed online via BSP’s Facebook page.
Since entering Fiji, the BSP Group has committed close to $10m to initiatives that support communities and charitable organizations throughout the country.
